Ecom Products Reviews is reader-supported. This page explains exactly how we are funded, what "affiliate" means in practice, and how we keep our reviews honest despite the financial relationship.
What "affiliate" means here
Most of the products we review are sold direct-to-consumer through the manufacturer's own store or through a payment partner such as BuyGoods, ClickBank, or similar. When a reader clicks an outbound link on one of our reviews and completes a purchase on the manufacturer's official store, that store credits us with the referral, and the manufacturer pays us a commission.
The commission comes out of the manufacturer's marketing budget. It does not change the price the reader pays. The reader pays the same on the checkout whether they arrived from our review or from any other source.
Does commission affect what we say?
No. Every fact on a review is sourced from the manufacturer's official listing or from testing the delivered product. Our rating is our editorial opinion. Where we recommend a package (the 2-pack or 3-pack of a given product, for example), the recommendation is based on the value math, not on the commission tier.
We do not accept payment for a favorable review, and we do not promise a manufacturer a specific rating in exchange for access to their affiliate program.
Not the official store
Ecom Products Reviews is not the official store for any of the products we cover. We are not owned, operated, or endorsed by the manufacturers of those products. Every outbound "buy" link on this site routes to the manufacturer's own official store, which is where the actual sale takes place, subject to the manufacturer's price, terms, and guarantee.
Amazon, eBay, and marketplace listings
For most of the products we cover, the manufacturer distributes exclusively through their own store. Listings on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and similar marketplaces are typically from unauthorized resellers or outright counterfeits and are not covered by the manufacturer's guarantee. Where this applies, we say so on the review — not for the affiliate credit, but because it is the honest guidance for the reader.
Advertising
Traffic to this site is acquired through several channels, including paid advertising on Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) and Google Ads. Advertising is subject to those platforms' policies and is disclosed here for full transparency.
Compliance
This disclosure is intended to satisfy the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on affiliate relationships. If anything about our funding model is unclear, contact us and we will clarify.
